Elissa Morgan

Elissa Morgan (she/her) is a dance artist, instructor, and choreographer whose work is rooted in the transformative power of movement to inspire, connect, and build community. Raised in coastal Tsawwassen, BC, she trained in artistic gymnastics, ballet, lyrical, and contemporary dance, and began teaching in 2012. She is certified through the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) in artistic gymnastics foundations, competition level 1, and competition level 2.

In 2015, Elissa moved to Toronto to pursue studies in human biology, where she joined Only Human Dance Collective as a performer, choreographer, and eventually creative director. She went on to perform professionally with TDC Entertainment, beginning in 2021, appearing at large-scale events across the GTA as a dancer, acrobat, and aerialist. Alongside her artistic work, she completed a Master’s degree in Public Health, deepening her commitment to fostering well-being through both the arts and sciences.

Now based in Kingston, ON, Elissa continues to contribute to the local dance and public health communities. She dances with local professional company Movement Market Collective, performed in the 2024 and 2025 GroundUP Dance Festival, and has appeared in several short films and music videos. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes supportive spaces where dancers of all ages can explore movement as storytelling, self-discovery, and connection. She is especially focused on building the underlying strength essential for both dance and acrobatics, drawing on her background in human biology to promote safe, sustainable, and empowering training. Outside the studio, she works as a public servant and health researcher at Veterans Affairs Canada.
