Recreational Class Placement

Age is only one consideration in placing our dancers in the correct class. We aspire for each of our students to succeed and maximize their potential. Students will move on to the next level according to their own progression and with the approval of the Artistic Director and instructor.

Pre-Primary - introductory classes for students ages 4 & 5

Primary - beginner classes for students ages 5 & 6 (may have some prior dance experience)

Beginner - for students who have no formal background in dance and are introduced to the fundamental basics of dance technique

Elementary - students continue to acquire and practice basic dance skills

Intermediate - students have acquired basic skills but are not yet advanced in their training more complex and advanced technical challenges are introduced such as large jumps and pirouettes

Advanced - students have mastered basic skills and continue to polish and build upon a well-established technical foundation
