Adult Recreational Dance

Ballet 

Unique and enriching adult ballet classes for the heart and soul.  Tailored to individual students needs and capabilities. Classes consist of  classical ballet barre and center work, with a focus on basic technique and musicality.Barre Burn (Tuesdays 6:00-7:00 pm) is a fun new fitness class incorporating ballet, contemporary and high intensity fitness training to give you the best possible results. Lunch hour drop in  ballet classes are offered on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Classical Repertoire is offered Wednesday evenings from 6:00-7:00 pm.

 

Contemporary

*Intermediate Level*

Working with intermediate modern dance vocabulary, students will work with technical exercises designed to challenge the mind and body.  Elements will include floor work

& across-the-floor phrases that focus on full body release and engagement.  (Mondays, 6:00-7:00 pm)

 

 Street Jazz 

 

Blending different methods of hip-hop, jazz funk, break, street dance and more in a fun and care-free dance class focused on learning basic choreography.  (Mondays, 7:00-8:00 pm)

 

Barre Burn 

All Levels*

A conditioning class set at the ballet barre working to build core strength, body awareness and flexibility in a fun and encouraging environment. ( Tuesdays, 6:00-7: oo pm).

                                                                   

Salsa 

 

Salsa  classes (Beginner / Intermediate), are once a week for 6 weeks at $160.00 a couple.

Come on out and learn some new moves (with or without a partner)!

 

Latin Jazz 

 

 

Who needs a dance partner? In this beginner/intermediate-level class we’ll move to Latin rhythms like salsa, bachata, cha-cha, and reggeaton, combining basic steps in fun and fanciful choreographies designed to share a little sizzle. This class begins with a strengthening warm-up (in bare feet or jazz shoes) and also requires latin dance-style heels.

 

World Rhythms

In this joyful class designed for beginner and intermediate dancers, we will delight in moving our bodies and grounding ourselves in an array of multicultural beats, from Latin to African, while building confidence through floor work and easy-to-follow choreography designed to work the brain and body. This class is danced in bare feet (foot undies optional) and in floor length Spanish-style skirts (provided).
